Klein VFD Purchases New High Water Rescue Vehicles

In cooperation with and supported by funding from Harris Co. ESD No. 16, Klein VFD added two (2) new vehicles to its fleet.  Harris Co. ESD No. 16 was able to make a very cost effective purchase through the Federal Surplus Property Program which is administered by the Texas Facilities Commission.

Klein VFD already had one (1) Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV) in its fleet, these new trucks will improve the ability of the fire department to respond to flooding events in Northwest Harris County.  While it is hoped that these trucks will never need to see service during a flood, this cost effective opportunity could not be missed.  This acquisition provides another tool for Klein VFD to continue its high level of service to the community and most importantly during the most demanding of conditions.
